Assessment Support - Check-ins

Often going through "the process" is seen as intrusive, complicated, long winded and unnecessary. In truth, as a Foster Carer or an adoptive parent you will be joined in your family by a child with a complicated past. The assessment process you experience is a part of ensuring that you are ready.

My 30 minute check-in sessions during your assessment is a useful way of making sure that your assessment is going to plan, to raise any queries you have (independently of a social worker) and of course, to be able to speak openly. Whether it is concerns of delays, or social workers speaking plainly, we unpick and resolve the details of your concerns - doing so remotely.

It is essential that you are also able to understand the complexities of your assessment and placement, and that is where I can support you.
